Express Delivery and Specific Day Delivery services are only available on items that are in stock and dependent on service levels and demand. To view the available delivery options and costs, please add the relevant item(s) to the basket and proceed to the checkout; once you put your delivery address in, the available delivery options and costs will load.

Please note that that if you live in a remote area you may incur a delivery charge. Remote areas would include the Channel Islands, Grampian, Highlands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Isles of Scilly, and some areas of Scotland. Please note that these delivery charges are decided by our couriers and we are unable to change the locations which fall into the category of a remote area.

    How long will delivery take?

On the product page we display the availability of each item along with the estimated delivery timescale based on our standard delivery service. The availability will state one of the following:

    • In Stock. Delivered within X working days.
These items are physically in stock at our 55,000 sq. ft. warehouse at Rathwood. The lead time advised is an estimation of how long it will take to arrive after you place your order.
    • Preorder Only. Dispatch by X.
These items are not in stock just yet, however you are able to pre-order them to avoid disappointment of us selling out. The estimated delivery date is based on when we expect the stock to arrive into our warehouse.
    • Order Now. Delivered within X days.
These items are held in stock by our supplier and will be delivered directly; the lead time is an estimate based on the supplier.
    • Out of Stock
These items are not in stock and we currently don't have additional stock due. Items with an out of stock availability are not available to purchase online.

We hope you will enjoy your purchase, but if there is anything you’re not satisfied with, please let us know. We always advise our customers to check their delivery once it arrives to ensure that they are happy with the product.

What happens when I'm not home to receive delivery?

For small items, instructions can be left detailing a secure location for our courier to leave your order. An example of this would be "Leave in porch if not in", or "If not in, leave with a neighbour". Please bear in mind that it is at your own risk allowing your goods to be left without a signature.

For large furniture sets a signature will be required, if you have not selected Next Working Day or Specific Day delivery, these orders will be pre-booked so you will know what day your goods will arrive. If you are not in on the day you have arranged for your order to be delivered, you may be charged for repeat delivery.

      Where does my delivery go?

Our delivery partners are not able to access your property or garden, therefore deliveries are made to the front of the property. Palletised deliveries are advised as "kerbside or nearest hard-standing" meaning if the delivery partner has difficulties accessing the front of the property, the goods will be left by the kerbside.

      What happens to the packaging?

To ensure your item(s) arrive safely, we may use additional packaging. On larger furniture deliveries we may use a pallet. Our delivery partners are not able to collect any packaging or pallets, therefore it is your responsibility to dispose of any cardboard and pallets. We advise recycling any packaging where possible.

      What is Pallet Delivery?

Pallet Delivery is reserved for all pallet orders or orders sold as a pallet and is managed with a large truck of up to 45ft size trailer and pallet truck to manoeuvre the pallet.
Orders delivered as Pallet Delivery are delivered to your address but will not be stored for you. We may also reference Pallet Delivery as kerbside delivery.

      Description

The Kentia palm originated on Lord Howe Island, a tiny piece of land off the east coast of Australia. The island gives the palm its botanical name, Howea forsteriana. It’s a slow grower that can take decades to reach its maximum height of 10 metres. It has simple needs. It likes lots of bright light, but not harsh direct sun. Regular misting will keep its leaves fresh and green. It will also appreciate a feed with liquid fertiliser once per month in spring and summer. It’s a royal favourite. It deserves respect.

Light watering: Check about once a week and water if the top two inches of soil feel dry.

Humidity: It appreciates moist air to keep fronds fresh. That’s easily done by misting a couple of times a week.

Medium light: Happiest in any room that gets a lot of light. Harsh sun is a bit much for it, so ideally not right next to a window.

A monthly dose of fertiliser in spring and summer will encourage healthy new growth.

      Did you know?
Kentia palms were used for decoration on The Titanic. In first-class, naturally.
