Delivery Information

Rathwood Delivery Information

We sell products in all different shapes & sizes, which means we use multiple delivery services to get your goods to you. Below you will find frequently asked questions relating to the delivery of your order.

Express Delivery and Specific Day Delivery services are only available on items that are in stock and dependent on service levels and demand. To view the available delivery options and costs, please add the relevant item(s) to the basket and proceed to the checkout; once you put your delivery address in, the available delivery options and costs will load.

Please note that that if you live in a remote area you may incur a delivery charge. Remote areas would include the Channel Islands, Grampian, Highlands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Isles of Scilly, and some areas of Scotland. Please note that these delivery charges are decided by our couriers and we are unable to change the locations which fall into the category of a remote area.

How long will delivery take?

On the product page we display the availability of each item along with the estimated delivery timescale based on our standard delivery service. The availability will state one of the following:

  • In Stock. Delivered within X working days.
These items are physically in stock at our 55,000 sq. ft. warehouse at Rathwood. The lead time advised is an estimation of how long it will take to arrive after you place your order.
  • Preorder Only. Dispatch by X.
These items are not in stock just yet, however you are able to pre-order them to avoid disappointment of us selling out. The estimated delivery date is based on when we expect the stock to arrive into our warehouse.
  • Order Now. Delivered within X days.
These items are held in stock by our supplier and will be delivered directly; the lead time is an estimate based on the supplier.
  • Out of Stock
These items are not in stock and we currently don't have additional stock due. Items with an out of stock availability are not available to purchase online.

What happens when I'm not home to receive delivery?

For small items, instructions can be left detailing a secure location for our courier to leave your order. An example of this would be "Leave in porch if not in", or "If not in, leave with a neighbour". Please bear in mind that it is at your own risk allowing your goods to be left without a signature.

For large furniture sets a signature will be required, if you have not selected Next Working Day or Specific Day delivery, these orders will be pre-booked so you will know what day your goods will arrive. If you are not in on the day you have arranged for your order to be delivered, you may be charged for repeat delivery.

Where does my delivery go?

Our delivery partners are not able to access your property or garden, therefore deliveries are made to the front of the property. Palletised deliveries are advised as "kerbside or nearest hard-standing" meaning if the delivery partner has difficulties accessing the front of the property, the goods will be left by the kerbside.

What happens to the packaging?

To ensure your item(s) arrive safely, we may use additional packaging. On larger furniture deliveries we may use a pallet. Our delivery partners are not able to collect any packaging or pallets, therefore it is your responsibility to dispose of any cardboard and pallets. We advise recycling any packaging where possible.

A lemon tree is a great way to bring some colour to your patio or balcony. Lemon trees now grow all over the world, but it’s thought that it originated in India. It was introduced to Europe by those ever industrious ancient Romans and has been a popular indoor and outdoor plant for centuries.

There aren’t many citrus trees that will produce fruit in a typical British climate, but a lemon tree that’s well looked after will fruit until early autumn. Don't be alarmed if the fruit is green. It will ripen after some time in the sun. Not every fruit will reach full maturity, as the plant will put its energy into just a few at a time. When a lemon looks yellow, plump and ripe, cut it off, so you can enjoy it and your tree can get on with growing more. It requires relatively little care. Keep its soil lightly moist, feed it once per month in spring and summer, and prune it lightly each year to keep a bushy shape.

Remember this is a sun-loving plant, so it won’t enjoy being out in really cold winter temperatures (it's not keen on anything below about 10°C). Bring it inside for winter, until the weather gets nice and warm, probably in about May or June. Your plant will arrive in a nursery pot (the plastic pot it’s been growing in).

There’s no need to remove it from this. Just place the whole thing inside a decorative pot. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Did you know? 19.4 million tonnes of lemons are produced around the world each year.

1x - Lemon Tree

Product Features:

  • Feeding - You can encourage it to grow more fruit by feeding with liquid fertiliser once per month in spring and summer.
  • Regular watering - This plant likes slightly moist soil, so water if the top two inches of soil are dry. She'll be thirstier in summer than winter.
  • Bright light - It likes lots of sun, so place in the brightest spot available.
  • It loves to be outside when it’s hot but doesn’t like the cold. Move inside in winter, so it can stay warm until summer.

Note: Your plant will arrive in a nursery pot (the plastic pot it’s been growing in)
