We sell products in all different shapes & sizes, which means we use multiple delivery services to get your goods to you. Below you will find frequently asked questions relating to the delivery of your order.
Express Delivery and Specific Day Delivery services are only available on items that are in stock and dependent on service levels and demand. To view the available delivery options and costs, please add the relevant item(s) to the basket and proceed to the checkout; once you put your delivery address in, the available delivery options and costs will load.
Please note that that if you live in a remote area you may incur a delivery charge. Remote areas would include the Channel Islands, Grampian, Highlands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Isles of Scilly, and some areas of Scotland. Please note that these delivery charges are decided by our couriers and we are unable to change the locations which fall into the category of a remote area.
How long will delivery take?
On the product page we display the availability of each item along with the estimated delivery timescale based on our standard delivery service. The availability will state one of the following:
In Stock. Delivered within X working days.
These items are physically in stock at our 55,000 sq. ft. warehouse at Rathwood. The lead time advised is an estimation of how long it will take to arrive after you place your order.
Preorder Only. Dispatch by X.
These items are not in stock just yet, however you are able to pre-order them to avoid disappointment of us selling out. The estimated delivery date is based on when we expect the stock to arrive into our warehouse.
Order Now. Delivered within X days.
These items are held in stock by our supplier and will be delivered directly; the lead time is an estimate based on the supplier.
Out of Stock
These items are not in stock and we currently don't have additional stock due. Items with an out of stock availability are not available to purchase online.
We hope you will enjoy your purchase, but if there is anything you’re not satisfied with, please let us know. We always advise our customers to check their delivery once it arrives to ensure that they are happy with the product.
What happens when I'm not home to receive delivery?
For small items, instructions can be left detailing a secure location for our courier to leave your order. An example of this would be "Leave in porch if not in", or "If not in, leave with a neighbour". Please bear in mind that it is at your own risk allowing your goods to be left without a signature.
For large furniture sets a signature will be required, if you have not selected Next Working Day or Specific Day delivery, these orders will be pre-booked so you will know what day your goods will arrive. If you are not in on the day you have arranged for your order to be delivered, you may be charged for repeat delivery.
Where does my delivery go?
Our delivery partners are not able to access your property or garden, therefore deliveries are made to the front of the property. Palletised deliveries are advised as "kerbside or nearest hard-standing" meaning if the delivery partner has difficulties accessing the front of the property, the goods will be left by the kerbside.
What happens to the packaging?
To ensure your item(s) arrive safely, we may use additional packaging. On larger furniture deliveries we may use a pallet. Our delivery partners are not able to collect any packaging or pallets, therefore it is your responsibility to dispose of any cardboard and pallets. We advise recycling any packaging where possible.
What is Pallet Delivery?
Pallet Delivery is reserved for all pallet orders or orders sold as a pallet and is managed with a large truck of up to 45ft size trailer and pallet truck to manoeuvre the pallet.
Orders delivered as Pallet Delivery are delivered to your address but will not be stored for you. We may also reference Pallet Delivery as kerbside delivery.
The bay tree, or bay laurel, has been a beloved plant for centuries. The ancient Greeks and the ancient Romans considered it quite the status symbol. Wreaths of bay laurel were worn on the heads of the most important members of society and given as prizes in sporting competitions. Bay was a plant for champions. The bay tree is as popular as ever. It’s an evergreen, which means it will look good on your patio or balcony all year round, and it’s very easy to look after. It will love a sunny spot, though will be happy with a mix of sun and shade. It likes gentle watering, so just give it a drink when the top two inches of soil feel dry. Don’t be tempted to water it too heavily as it won’t like soggy soil. Equally, don’t let it dry out completely. Your plant will arrive in a nursery pot (the plastic pot it’s been growing in). There’s no need to remove it from this. Just place the whole thing inside a decorative pot. One of the best things about bay is that you can pick off its leaves and use them in cooking. A bay leaf added to pasta sauce or stew will add subtle warm flavour. A leaf picked fresh off your plant will have much more flavour than any from the supermarket. Did you know? It’s not just the leaves that are used in cooking. Dried bay berries and bay oil are also used in cuisines around the world.
1x - Twist Stem Bay Tree
Pro tips for planting Twist Stem Bay Tree:
- Regular watering - It likes her soil gently moist. In hot summers it'll like very frequent watering. It needs less in winter.
- Feeding - help it grow strong and healthy by giving a feed with some liquid fertiliser once per month in spring and summer.
- Most light conditions - It’ll do very well in a sunny position but will also tolerate some shade for part of the day.
- Give a trim each year in late summer to maintain the shape. It’s really easy to do. Just think of it as giving a haircut.
