Children's Activities At Rathwood

Embark on an enchanting journey through our lush woodlands aboard Rathwood's exclusive Woodlands Train. As you traverse the scenic landscape on the Rathwood Express, you'll have the delightful opportunity to visit Goose Island, where you can feed the resident ducks and geese. We provide all the necessary food, ensuring you can enjoy this charming experience without any worries. The train runs at 3pm on both Saturdays and Sundays and costs only €3.50 per person.

If you’re looking to extend the fun after our woodland train adventure, make sure to explore Rathwood's Maze of Ireland! This unique attraction is designed in the shape of Ireland, with each county accurately represented to scale. Every participant will receive a map of Ireland and a pencil to mark off each county as they navigate through the maze. In each county, there’s a special number to find, adding an extra layer of excitement to your journey. You can choose to work together as a family, or if you're feeling competitive, challenge each other to see who can complete the maze first! Suitable for ages 4 and up, Rathwood's Maze of Ireland promises a memorable and engaging experience for everyone.

For more activities, visit our Woodshed Café and Ark Playcentre, where there is something for everyone. While the children are playing, parents and guardians can sit back, relax, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, as well as a variety of snacks and light meals. The Ark Playcentre and the Café are open every day from 10 AM to 4:30 PM throughout the entire summer! The Ark Playcentre offers different activities for children each week, ensuring there's always something new and exciting to explore.
